Doesn’t everybody love a delightful holiday party? A holiday party can be the very best part of the entire season. Anticipation and excitement fills the air when holiday parties are being scheduled and planned. The excitement escalates with thoughts of get-togethers with family, friends and co-workers. Including parties in their annual holiday events give most people something to look forward to. The planning, the decorating and the menu items keep the good cheer (and sometimes the stress) at a high level. Good cheer, good people and good food make a delightful holiday party.
As the leaves start to change and the temperatures cool down, it is a great time to check your home for any repairs that need to be done and do some routine maintenance. Here is a list of things to do and check to get your home ready for fall.
It’s impossible to believe, but it is fall at last. While there’s always a sadness at the end of the summer, I prefer cooler temperatures. Even before the chill in the air comes, you may want to do some activities with your kids to prepare for the changing seasons. These fun fall crafts can help you and your kids start celebrating fall!
I do not know about you but the summer months with long days spent outdoors in the heat often sapped my energy to make unique meals so my family’s dinners became a monotonous cycle of the same rotation of foods and combinations. Now with the cooler fall weather, I will still be spending considerable time outside, enjoying the beauty of the seasonal changes and the activities that come with them. This too will cut into my ability to be creative with food. To combat this, I have begun to take meal planning seriously. Something that once was a bit daunting has now become life-giving.
My in-laws own a commercial farm growing many different crops including strawberries, blueberries, beans, corn, hazelnuts, and various grasses. One of my favorite activities to do in the summer is to take my daughter to her grandparent’s farm for picking and the general farm experiences.
The changing of seasons is a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors with your children. Opportunities to educate, excite and encourage creativity are everywhere. Fall is approaching, leaves will be changing colors and the temperatures will be less humid and much cooler.
